Assignment 2 Blindfold photography

It was a exciting tast the blindfold photographer has no idea of the vision of environment surrounding him or her, he or she can use the three senses including hearing, smelling, and touching  to reconstruct everything. In the presentation day, i was impressed by some groups using mirror to make a reflection and then record it. It was a good try. In my blindfold photography, it started from Wo Che estate to Lik Yuen estate. There are four rules in my journey.
  • Shoot every 60 sec
  • Try to trust my instincts to walk my daily way
  • Shoot everything I hit, guess what it is and write on paper
  • Shoot if there are interesting sounds

Now, here is my favorite shot.

It was an unexpected shot once it checked what i took in the whole journey. Recalling my memory, i failed to follow my daily path and got lost in the trip, kick by unknown object and feel cool and warm under the sun. Here, it collected many sense of mine as i stood almost a minute and took it.

1. My head felt hot but cool winds hit my face
2. Some people  were talking far from me,whisper...
3. The space was silent so i was not next to car road, so lucky...
4. I heard some sound from gates.

I guess ...   CAR PARK. (Wrong! Of couse.)
It was the ground floor of the building. As a blindfold photographer, i think i had a great shot, the shadow, natural light and perspective are found in this image, however, it was not paralleled. In short, you are nothing when you are blindfold even through how familiar the place you are, the only thing you need to do is trust yourself and the other senses. I realized that sometimes we rely too much on our eyes, we missed too many things. Here i experienced  and learnt a class.
